Swallows fly graciously. The name swallow line, Ligne des Hirondelles in french, therefore has been chosen very well for this train track!

On this page we take you out to the Ligne des Hirondelles in de Jura mountains in France. In this country corner seems less train fun, buth there are exceptions.

You can find the Ligne des Hirondelles between Dole and Saint Claude about 120 kilometers. The piece between Saint Laurant en Grandvaux and Saint Claude is the most beautiful, because of the differences in height. Look with us to the landscape and the track in a video film of four minutes. Dutch spoken.
